Algomo vs Zendesk

Zendesk is a helpdesk that added an AI agent; Algomo is an agent that is not a helpdesk. The split is the bill: seats plus a per-resolution fee whose price Zendesk does not print, against one monthly amount you set.

Where Zendesk wins

If your support is tickets, Zendesk is the ticketing. Every conversation lands in a case system with routing, SLAs and reporting, across messaging, email and voice; we answer in web chat on your site and sell no helpdesk. Its AI agent comes with an allowance of resolutions in every seat, and a qualified startup can run the whole Suite free for up to two years. A team that lives in a queue should not leave it for us.

Two meters, one of them unprinted

A Zendesk bill is seats, $55 to $115 an agent a month paid yearly, plus AI agents priced, in their words, on the value delivered by each resolution. The dollar figure for a resolution is not on Zendesk's own pages; third-party trackers report $1.50 committed and $2.00 pay-as-you-go, and that is their number, not Zendesk's. Algomo is one monthly amount you pick. It buys credits, a conversation that actually helped someone costs five, one that went nowhere costs nothing, and the amount is the most you can be charged.

Built where you already work

Zendesk's Agent Builder is a no-code interface in early access, and its MCP server, which would let an agent operate Zendesk from outside, is early access too. Algomo is built and operated over MCP from Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT or Claude today, and it acts in the visitor's own session: the same agent that answers a question checks their order and walks them to the page, before anything becomes a ticket.

Where these rows come from

Fetched 3 September 2026, from zendesk.com. The seat prices of $55 and $115 an agent a month paid yearly, the $50 Copilot add-on, the 14-day trial and the line that AI agents are priced on successful outcomes are on the pricing page. The multiple-LLM architecture, the channel list and the escalation wording are on the AI service page. The resolution pricing philosophy and the startup programme of up to two years free are on the AI agents page. The Agent Builder status and the MCP client and server timelines are in the MCP support article. The $1.50 and $2.00 per-resolution figures are from eesel.ai and premiumplus.io, not from Zendesk. Algomo's cells are read from this site's pricing page.

Questions, answered

Do we lose our Zendesk helpdesk?

No. Algomo answers on your site and your team takes over any conversation live, with the transcript. On Business and Enterprise we wire escalation into the Zendesk you already run.

We already pay for seats. Why pay again?

You would not be paying for seats. Algomo's amount is not per person; a five-person company runs it free, and Business covers up to five people at one monthly amount. The question is the other meter: what Zendesk's AI agent costs per resolution once the included allowance runs out, which its pages do not say.

Zendesk includes AI in every plan. What does that make Algomo?

The agent for the visitor who has not filed a ticket yet. Most people on your site never will; they want a price, a stock check, the right page. That is what Algomo does in their session, and it is free to try beside your Zendesk today.
