Algomo vs Botpress
Botpress publishes its prices, has a free tier and never charges per seat, which puts it in the honest half of this category. The split is a builder platform with a meter that cannot be switched off, against no builder at all and one monthly amount that stops at zero.

Where Botpress wins
No per-seat cost, ever, in their words; their own comparison puts four seats and 1,200 conversations a month at $9,000 a year against $34,500 on Zendesk and $25,500 on Intercom. You bring the model you want, Anthropic among them, and pay the AI usage at cost. The Hub has 500+ connectors, Botpress Desk is a real helpdesk, and it answers on WhatsApp and Slack. We sell no helpdesk, do not let you bring your own model keys, and answer in web chat only.
A meter that cannot be switched off
Plus is $150 a month, billed annually, for 250 conversations. At 95% of that, a pack of 100 auto-adds for $65, and at 95% of the included AI spend a $10 credit grant auto-purchases. Neither can be disabled: pausing conversations means pausing the product entirely, their words. Algomo's monthly amount is the most you can be charged. It buys credits, a conversation that helped someone costs five, one that went nowhere costs nothing, and at zero the agent pauses until you renew, early if you like. No packs, no top-ups.

A builder, or no builder
Botpress is a platform to build on: Studio for the visual flow, Viber for the natural-language version, their Engine and LLMz underneath, and a Hub of connectors and crawlers to assemble. Algomo has no builder of its own. You operate it from Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT or Claude over MCP, and it finds the endpoints your own pages already call, then runs them in the visitor's session rather than from a server.

Questions, answered
We already run Zendesk or Intercom. Does either product replace it?
Neither has to. Botpress connects to both over OAuth, nothing to migrate, their words. Algomo answers on your site and your team takes over live when needed; on Business and Enterprise we wire escalation into the helpdesk you already use.
Can we bring our own model to Algomo, as we can on Botpress?
Not your own keys. The visitor-facing agent runs on frontier lab models we choose. For custom agents and workflow steps you pick the model from a list on our pricing page, at a credit rate per model. If bringing your own provider account is a requirement, that is a point for Botpress.
What happens at the end of the quota?
On Botpress a pack of 100 conversations is bought for you at 95%, and you cannot turn that off. On Algomo the agent pauses at zero and nothing is charged beyond the amount you set; you renew early if you want it back sooner.
