Support ROI calculator

What your support costs today, and what it costs with an agent taking the volume you would hand over. Side by side on your own numbers, with the arithmetic printed and nothing you type leaving your browser.

What an agent is worth on your volume

Algomo does not publish a resolution rate, so this calculator does not start from an Algomo number at all. It starts from the highest rate any competitor publishes about itself, and from the two numbers only you have: how much of your volume you would hand over at all, and what an hour of your team costs.

What you put in

- **Conversations a month**, starting at 2,000. Everything that reaches your support team, on every channel.

- **Share you would let an agent take at all**, starting at 100%. Your policy, not our claim. It starts at everything, which is not a real answer. Bring it down to the conversations you would actually hand over, and the number below starts meaning something.

- **Of those, the share it finishes without a person**, starting at 76%. Starts at 76%, the average resolution rate Fin publishes about itself across more than 12,000 customers. It is their number, not ours. Algomo publishes no resolution rate.

- **Average handling time**, starting at 10 minutes. Minutes, including the work after the conversation ends.

- **Cost per person a month**, starting at $4,000. Fully loaded: salary, benefits, tooling, the lot.

How it is worked out

- Conversations in scope = conversations a month times the share you would let an agent take.

- Conversations the agent finishes = conversations in scope times the share it finishes without a person.

- Hours on conversations = conversations reaching a person times average handling time, divided by 60. Today that is all of them; with Algomo it is the ones it did not finish.

- People needed for that volume = those hours divided by 140, the hours one person spends on conversations in a month.

- What that time costs = people needed times cost per person a month.

- Algomo a month = the smallest plan whose credits cover the conversations it finishes, at 5 credits per useful conversation. Free covers a handful, Business runs from $50 to $4,300, above that it is Enterprise. Conversations that went nowhere cost nothing.

- Saved a month = what that time costs today, minus what it costs once the agent finishes the ones it can, minus Algomo.

Where each number comes from

Three kinds of number go into the answer, and they are not equally trustworthy. This is which is which.

| The number | Whose it is | What it changes |

| --- | --- | --- |

| Conversations a month | Yours | Both sides of the comparison scale with it. It starts at 2,000 because that is the volume our own pricing comparisons are worked on. |

| Share you would let an agent take at all | Yours, and it is a policy, not a measurement | It starts at everything, which is not a real answer. Until you bring it down to what you would genuinely hand over, the figure below is a ceiling rather than an estimate. |

| Share it finishes without a person | Fin's, published about itself | The single most powerful input. Fin reports 76% averaged across more than 12,000 customers. Treat it as the best case somebody in this category will claim in public, not as a forecast for your queue. |

| Average handling time | Yours | Turns conversations into hours. Include the work after the conversation ends or the hours come out low. |

| Cost per person a month | Yours | Turns hours into money. Headcount is not asked for, it is worked out from your volume and handling time, because a headcount typed in beside those two is a third number free to disagree with them. |

What this will not tell you

Whether a rate is achievable on your queue. Algomo publishes no resolution rate, and the one this page starts from is Fin's claim about Fin, [published on their own homepage](https://fin.ai/) as an average across more than 12,000 customers and read there on 2 September 2026. Our own writing on this argues that a resolution rate quoted without saying which conversations it was measured over is [a numerator sold without its denominator](/resources/what-not-to-automate), which is exactly why the scope control sits above it and starts at everything.

Whether freed hours become money. The model values an hour at what an hour costs you, which is the optimistic reading. Hours only turn into savings if you redeploy the people or do not backfill, and neither happens on its own. If your plan is to absorb more volume with the same team rather than to spend less, read the hours and ignore the money.

What the first month looks like. There is no ramp in the model, no seasonality, and no allowance for whatever you already automate today. If some of your volume is already deflected, the honest move is to enter the volume that still reaches a person, not the total.

Whether the Algomo line holds at your size. It is the smallest plan on [our pricing page](/pricing) whose credits cover the conversations the model says the agent finishes, and above $4,300 a month it says Enterprise, where the rate is custom. If the answer here is close to the line, the version worth having is the one we do with your actual numbers.

Questions, answered

How is this worked out?

Every line of it is printed under the comparison, in order, including the constant for how many hours a month one person spends on conversations. There is no step held back. You can reproduce both columns with a calculator.

What happens to the numbers I type in?

Nothing. They are worked out in your browser as you type and never sent anywhere. There is no form on this page, no email box, and no report to download. Close the tab and it is gone.

Am I guaranteed to see this?

No. This is arithmetic on figures you chose, using a rate a competitor publishes about itself. It is a way of thinking about the size of the prize, not a forecast, and nobody should treat it as one.

What if I already automate some of this?

Enter the volume that still reaches a person. Putting your total in and counting the existing deflection again is the most common way one of these pages flatters itself.

How does it work out what Algomo costs?

From [our pricing page](/pricing). Each conversation the agent finishes is a useful conversation and costs five credits; the model adds them up and picks the smallest monthly amount whose credits cover them. Conversations that go nowhere cost nothing, and there is no per-seat fee, so the Algomo line is the whole bill and the saving is net of it.

What not to automate

Why a resolution rate means nothing until you say which conversations it was measured over, which is the argument the scope control on this page is built from.
