# An AI chatbot for WordPress that answers from your live site

Algomo goes live with one script tag in your theme. It reads the same pages and REST calls your site already serves, answers visitors in web chat, and hands over to a person when it should. No plugin to install, no plugin to keep updated.

## What it needs from you

A URL and one script tag. Browse your site once with our extension and it records the calls your pages make: posts, pages, search, and on a WooCommerce store the same REST calls the storefront makes for stock, variations and the cart. The agent builds its own tools from those and answers from the live site, not from a copy of your FAQ.

Anything a signed-in customer can already see on your site, the agent reads in their own session. Anything only your staff can reach, we connect with you.

## Where the script goes on WordPress

The widget is a single script from cdn.algomo.com, placed in the head or before the closing body tag. On a self-hosted site that is a child theme, so a parent theme update does not remove it, or a code snippets plugin that adds it to every page. On WordPress.com, adding a script tag needs one of the paid plans that allows plugins; the free plan does not run custom JavaScript.

## Questions, answered

### What it can do

**What can an AI chatbot for WordPress actually do on my site?**

Answer from your posts, pages and products as they are right now, walk a visitor to the right page, book a slot in a Google or Outlook calendar, and hand over to a person with the transcript. Your team is notified by email and Slack.

**Does it work on a WooCommerce store?**

Yes. It reads the same REST calls your storefront makes, so it checks stock and price per variation, live, and can add to the customer's real cart in their own session. WooCommerce has its own page on this site.

**Does it send emails, SMS or WhatsApp messages?**

No. It is web chat on your site, and it stops when the visitor leaves. It notifies your team by email and Slack; it does not message visitors on other channels.

### Your site

**Is there a WordPress plugin to install?**

No. One script tag in your theme puts it live. There is nothing in the plugin directory to install, update or keep compatible with the next WordPress release.

**Does it work with page builders and custom themes?**

Yes. It reads what your pages serve and the endpoints they call, not the theme's markup, so a heavily customised build is the normal case rather than an exception.

**What happens when we change theme or update plugins?**

The script stays where you put it, and the agent picks up the changed pages and repairs whatever mapping broke.

### Getting started

**How is the agent built and changed?**

Over MCP, from the coding agent you already use: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT or Claude. Or from the dashboard. You describe what you want it to know and do, test it against your live site, and stage the change before it goes to visitors.

**What does it cost on a WordPress site?**

You pick a monthly amount and it buys credits: a conversation that actually helped someone costs five, one that went nowhere costs nothing, and the amount is the most you can be charged, so growing traffic alone never raises the bill. There is no overage: run out early and you renew early, or wait for the month to turn. Every number is on this site's pricing page.

**What does Algomo need to get started on WordPress?**

A URL, and a place to put one script tag. Public pages and endpoints are discovered; anything behind a customer login we set up with you rather than find automatically.
